Each of the first 3 courses represent a different time period in Charleston history. So you’ll get 3 entrees and sides, 2 desserts, and 4 candies. Plus a glass of Madeira wine to begin the evening.

All this is narrated by culinary historian Mike Hebb, who will cover Charleston history, culinary history, slave history, the Revolutionary War, and the Civil War.

W18th and 19th Century dining in the home of Edward Rutledge, the youngest signer of the Declaration of Independence. Enjoy a 5 course, fully narrated dinner in the same dining room where Mr. Rutledge hosted other founding fathers such as George Washington.

VINTAGE DINING AT THE HOME OF A FOUNDING FATHER

You will enjoy a generous five course meal in the dining room of the Edward Rutledge House, now called the Governor’s House Inn. This was the home of Edward Rutledge. At the age of 26, he signed the Declaration of Independence. Edward Rutledge also hosted President George Washington in this very dining room. Overall, four Presidents have dined in this dining room.
